where to start?

Web Resources

The internet provides a lot of online tutorials and courses that help you get started quickly. A wide range of introduction courses to all of Artificial Intelligence can be found online. The Deep Learning hype has also generated lots of resources to get started!
A good understanding of programming and data science usually helps but even so there are tutorials to cover these areas as well!

Research and Papers.

more to be added here, in the meantime arxiv.org ;)

Full Online Courses.

Probably the best way to get started is by following a complete online course, which usually includes video lectures, home work, hands-on coding and weekly tests or questionnaires.

Brisbane.AI

Brisbane.AI aims to to connect individuals interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science in the greater Brisbane area. The main goals are, first, to raise public awareness on what AI and related technologies are and the impact they will have on all areas of work and life. Second, the group endeavours to provide education for members to be able to apply AI in their own projects.
The group was launched by Juxi Leitner and Natalie Rens, with the first event in February 2017 and is now more than 1000 members strong...
